Area Easter egg hunts

The town of Stem will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Stem Ruritan Club.

South Branch Library

The South Branch Library will have its first library Easter egg hunt on Saturday at noon. Kids are invited to come help find the eggs that have been left all over the inside of the library. Bring a basket.


The town of Butner will host the ninth annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. for children up to age 9 at Butner Athletic Park, 1105 W. B St.

New this year will be three “Golden Eggs” and the kids that find them will get a special prize.

Bring a camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny.

There will also be Easter-themed crafts, games and prizes.


The city of Creedmoor’s annual Easter egg hunt is scheduled for Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at Lake Rogers Park and is hosted by the Southern Granville Woman’s Club and Creedmoor Fire Department.

The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures and to help with the hunt.

First-, second- and third-place Easter baskets will be awarded as prizes for age groups 1-3, 4-6, and 7-8.

The event is free and open to the public.

In case of inclement weather, the rain date is Monday at 6 p.m. at Lake Rogers Park.
