The following incidents were reported by Butner Public Safety:

Aug. 10

• Jaylen Howard, 18, of Butner was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. The incident occurred at Edgewood Crossings apartments in Butner.

Aug. 12

• Jessie Lee Burnette, 62, of Butner was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and second-degree trespassing. Burnette was issued a $40,000 secured bond and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

Aug. 14

• Jazruan Jones, 30, of Oxford was arrested for breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny of a firearm. Jones was issued a $27,000 unsecured bond.

• Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle report in the 300 block of 7th Street. Someone allegedly entered an unlocked vehicle sometime between Aug. 9 and Aug. 14.

Aug. 15

• Christine Rodrigues, 31, of Carrboro and Nicholas Taylor, 23, of Hillsborough were arrested during a traffic stop for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Travis Parham, 26, of Henderson was arrested during a traffic stop on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Parham was issued a $2,000 secured bond and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

Aug. 16

• Larceny was reported at Food Lion Distribution Center, 1703 E. D St.. As a result of the investigation, warrants were obtained on Dexter Turner Jr., 30, of Norlina. Turner was charged with embezzlement.

• Elizabeth Nicole Riley, 30, of Hillsborough was served a criminal summons for school attendance law violation. Riley was issued a court date and ordered to appear in court.

• Report of breaking and entering, larceny and property damage in the 1100 block of Roycroft Road. Someone allegedly entered a residence and shed and stole assorted tools.

Aug. 18

• Douglas Brian Matthews, 52, of Durham was arrested during a traffic stop and charged him with DWI and improper turn. Matthews was issued a $1,000 secured bond and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

• John Martin Wilkerson, 69, of Butner was served a criminal summons for allowing livestock to run at-large. Wilkerson was issued a court date and ordered to appear in court.

• Earl Leaman Webb Jr., 32, of Durham was arrested for an outstanding warrant for larceny by employee. Webb was issued a 10,000 secured bond and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

Aug. 19

• Property damage was reported at Colonial Mobile Home Park, 810 E. C St. Someone allegedly scratched a vehicle.

• Larceny was reported at Colonial Mobile Home Park, 103 24th St. Someone allegedly stole a registration plate off a vehicle.

Aug. 20

• Chanel Monique Palmer, 40, of Henderson was arrested for an outstanding order for arrest. Palmer was issued a $1,000 secured bond and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

• An attempted larceny was reported at Dollar General, 304 Central Ave. One black male and three black females allegedly attempted to steal assorted merchandise from the store.

• Luis Alberto, 33, of Butner was arrested during a traffic stop and charged him with DWI, speeding, no operator’s license, and driving left of center. Alberto was issued a $1,000 secured bond and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

Granville County Crime Stoppers

Between the dates of Aug. 12 and Aug. 20, someone allegedly removed a wood splitter from the front yard of a residence located on Winston Road in Creedmoor. The wood splitter is a White Outdoor brand, model 51G, blue in color and has minor damage. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Granville County Crime Stoppers at 919-693-3100.
