Butner Public Safety crime reports

The following incidents were reported to Butner Public Safety Dec. 19 through Jan. 1.

Dec. 19

• An assault was reported at 600 E. B St. As a result of the incident, Savannah Morgan Woods, 19, of Butner, was arrested and charged with assault. Woods was issued no bond and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

• Raquan Kwane Watlington, 20, of Butner, was served with a criminal summons for assault and communicating threats after receiving medical attention.

Dec. 20

• A fight was reported at 307 11th St.. As a result of the incident, citations for assault were issued to Denitra Monique Douglas, 25, of Butner; Mekayla Lavette Douglas, 22, of Butner; Demetris Lavette Douglas, 43, of Butner; and Donald Allen Moss, 53, of Butner.

• Property damage was reported at Central Regional Hospital, 300 Veazey Road. As a result of the incident, a criminal summons was issued on Umezulike Onu Nwaebiem, 29, of Raleigh, charging with property damage.

Dec. 23

• A larceny was reported at Speedway, 1545 N.C. Highway 56. The suspect stole crackers and a candy bar from the store.

• Jessica Maria Gallegos, 28, of Creedmoor, was arrested for an outstanding order for arrest. Gallegos was issued a cash bond of $365 and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

Dec. 24

• An assault was reported at 2042 Massimo Drive. As a result of the incident, Edwin Louis Williams, 28, of Creedmoor, was arrested and charged with assault on a female and resist, delay, and obstruct. Williams was issued a secured bond of $2,000 and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

• An assault was reported at 302 18th St.. As a result of the incident, Paul Andrew Merrill, 37, of Butner, was arrested and charged with DWI and assault on a female after being stopped on a traffic stop. Merrill was issued no bond and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

Dec. 25

• A breaking and entering into a motor vehicle was reported at 800 E. C St. The suspect pried open a door trying to enter the vehicle.

Dec. 26

• A breaking and entering was reported at 1526 Radford Drive. The suspect entered the victim’s residence. Nothing was stolen.

• A breaking and entering into a motor vehicle was reported at the Butner Athletic Park. The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked motor vehicle and stole her purse.

Dec. 27

• An assault was reported at 1209 Rotterdam Lane. The victim was assaulted by a male known to her.

Dec. 28

• Calvin Gerald Fields Jr., 29, of Warrenton, was arrested during a traffic stop for an outstanding order for arrest. Fields was issued a secured bond of $1,000 and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

• Communicating threats were reported at 1191 Rotterdam Lane. The victim was threatened by a male known to her.

Dec. 29

• An assault was reported at 1204 Rotterdam Lane. As a result of the incident, a citation was issued to Teresa Faye Daniel, 57, of Creedmoor, charging her with assault.

• Fraud was reported at 1533 Little Bit Drive. The suspect used the victim’s bank information to make purchases.

Dec. 30

• A breaking and entering into a motor vehicle was reported at 810 E. C St. The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked motor vehicle and stole her purse.

• James Robert New, 41, of Butner, was arrested during a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant for sexual battery. New was issued an unsecured bond of $2,000 and was released.

• A criminal summons was served on Elizabeth Ivonne Hawley, 59, of Creedmoor, for worthless check. Hawley was issued a court date and ordered to appear in court.

Jan. 1

• A larceny was reported at Speedway, 1545 N.C. Highway 56. The suspect stole a beer.

• A larceny was reported at Food Lion, 2531 E. Lyon Station Road. As a result of the incident, a warrant was obtained on Brandon Keith Autry, 32, of Oxford, charging him with larceny.
