CREEDMOOR — Constance Zimmerman Baker, 57, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 26 at her home.
A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Virginia Zimmerman. She was of the Catholic faith and was a nurse at Maria Parham Hospital for many years.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor. Burial was held in the Keith Family Cemetery in Wake Forest.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Michael D. Baker, of the home, three daughters, Sarah Dockum of Creedmoor, Tiffany Lyle (Jimmy) of Knightdale, Shelly Baker of Franklinton, a son, Michael Baker of Youngsville, six sisters, two brothers and seven grandchildren, Christian, Kaylee, Cheyenne, Hannah, Lilia, Isabella and Oliver. She was predeceased in death by a sister Sandra Royalty.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
