Creedmoor’s Lundy wins Yard of the Month

CREEDMOOR — Charlotte Lundy’s yard in the 100 block on Wilson’s Way in Creedmoor has been named the first 2019 Yard of the Month by the city of Creedmoor.

Lundy will receive a $50 gift certificate to Southern States to assist with future garden planning along with the Yard of the Month sign to display.

From May through September, beautiful yards and proud gardeners in the community are recognized and rewarded through the program by the city of Creedmoor. Nominate your own yard, or your neighbor’s yard, by June 30 for consideration in the next Yard of the Month contest.

Program rules include: all nominees must live within the city limits; winners from last season, condominiums, and retirement homes are not eligible; nominations are assessed for the month in which they are received only, if your nomination is not selected, it must be resubmitted for consideration the following month; and all nominations are due by the 30th of every other month (June, August).

Winners receive the Yard of the Month sign to display in their yard and a $50 Southern States gift certificate. Nominations must be submitted for the July/August winner by June 30.
