Creedmoor movie night

The Creedmoor Parks & Recreation Department will host the next installment of First Fridays in Creedmoor’s Movie Night today from 6-8 p.m. The film “Ralph Breaks the Internet” will be featured at Creedmoor Elementary School, 305 E. Wilton Ave.

Advance registration is not required and the event is free of charge.

Jolly’s Catering and Events Food Truck will be on-site throughout the movie.

Field Day on the Farm

Tar River Land Conservancy’s annual Field Day on the Farm will be held Saturday from 11 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. at River Wind Farm on the Tar River in Granville County, 3137 Tom Hunt Road, Oxford.

There will be music from local musicians, a catered lunch, kids activities and games, wildlife displays, archery demonstrations, antique cars and wagon rides. Lunch and activities will be hosted at the Blackleys’ indoor equestrian arena located on the farm.

A guided nature hike to the Tar River will take place after lunch for those interested. Hikers will learn about the farming activities on the farm, the natural history of the area, and the unique wildlife that inhabits the Tar River.

Tickets are $15 for TRLC members and $20 for non-members. All proceeds go to support Tar River Land Conservancy.
