CREEDMOOR — Due to potential hazardous weather conditions, Granville County Public Schools were closed on Feb. 7.

That means all basketball games and other after-school activities scheduled for Friday have been rescheduled.

Here’s the new basketball schedule:

  • Granville Central will host Louisburg on Monday, Feb. 10 with Junior Varsity tipping off at 4:30 p.m., Girls at 6 p.m. and Varsity at 7:30 p.m. The Panthers will celebrate senior night on Feb. 10.
  • South Granville will host Bunn on Feb. 12 with the Junior Varsity starting at 4:30 p.m., Girls at 6 p.m. and Varsity at 7:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory across North Carolina Friday, warning of wind gusts up to 45 mph throughout the day. The weather service advised travelers to stay off roads.

That followed a series of strong thunderstorms Thursday that brought several inches of rain to the region and caused power outages across the state.
