STEM Granville Central celebrated its most wins in a season at its end-of-year banquet. The varsity program finished with a 19-9 overall record, while the junior varsity team compiled an 11-7 overall record.

The Panthers showed continued improvement throughout the season and claimed the county championship with two wins over Webb and one against South Granville.

Granville Central won the regular season conference title which allowed them to be a first- and second-round host for the NCHSAA 1A playoffs.

The Panthers advanced to the third round of the playoffs before falling to West Columbus in Cerro Gordo. The jayvee team picked up wins over rivals South Granville and Louisburg in conference play.

Granville Central varsity will return one of the best one-two punches in the backcourt next season in Terence Harcum and Jamari Mann. Harcum averaged 25.7 points per game while Mann tallied 15.6 points per game.

JJ Tilley will be the enforcer on the inside and on defense. Tyler Coley was a starter for the Panthers last season and may be pushed to keep that position.

The final starting position will have to be earned in the preseason.
