Some of the health care options that are being discussed today were considered in the nineties. One of them was for businesses to buy insurance as a group of companies and not one company.
Medical insurance should be treated as a long-term item instead of a short-term item. Life expectancy has increased because of new tests to detect cancer and other illnesses.
In the last few months there has been talk of a single-pay system. Right now that’s impossible because insurance companies are selling things like Medicare supplement policies.
